Elgin, OR, February 7, 2012 A hiring committee made up of city counselors, community members, leaders and law enforcement entities have completed preliminary screening and interviews with highly qualified applicants from all over the United States in the search for the next Elgin Police Chief. The committee would like to invite the public to join them on February 20th at the Elgin Opera House to hear presentations from the final candidates. Doors will open at 6:00pm, an introduction from the moderator will begin at 6:15 with presentations starting at promptly at 6:30. Each candidate will be give 15 minutes to present on a pre-determined topic with a 10 minute question and answer session from community members.
