100 Years of History: A Red Carpet Affair

The Elgin Chamber of Commerce is proud to annouce that the Annual Chamber Awards Banquet will take place on Wednesday, March 14th.  We invite you to join us to celebrate the 100th year of the Elgin Opera House by attending the banquet, "100 Years of History: A Red Carpet Affair". 

Due to the overwhelming success we had last year, this year the Chamber is bringing back the silent auction.  Items will be available for bid from 5:30pm - 7:00pm on on the day of the banquet.  A list of items will be available prior to the day of the banquet. 

Tickets are $25 per person and available at Community Bank and US Bank in Elgin.

Elgin Police Chief Hiring Committee

Elgin, OR, February 7, 2012  A hiring committee  made up of city counselors, community members, leaders and law enforcement entities have completed preliminary screening and interviews with highly qualified applicants from all over the United States in the search for the next Elgin Police Chief.  The committee would like to invite the public to join them on February 20^th at the Elgin Opera House to hear presentations from the final candidates.  Doors will open at 6:00pm, an introduction from the moderator will begin at 6:15 with presentations starting at promptly at 6:30.  Each candidate will be give 15 minutes to present on a pre-determined topic with a 10 minute question and answer session from community members.  If you have a question regarding the Elgin Police Chief hiring process, please e-mail the Elgin Chamber at contact@elginoregonchamber.com.
